A few friendly faces
We are very proud of the fact that the Quinta remains a small family business. And we hope that during your stay you will become friends not only of the Quinta but also of all of those who work here to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. Below are a few of the faces that you'll meet during your holiday.
Cecília Leitão Branco e Brito Jardim and Teresa Jardim Gedge
The Quinta Mãe dos Homens Garden Village is owned by the Jardim family who still all live within the grounds of the Quinta. Doubtless you will see Mrs. Cecília Leitão Branco Brito Jardim being taken for walks in the gardens of her Quinta during your stay.
You may also bump into Mrs. Teresa Jardim Gedge, Mrs Cecília Jardim's daughter. Teresa has an avid interest in the theatre. She is the President of the Madeira Amateur Dramatic Society (MADS), a local theatre group here on the Island, whose members come from all parts of the world. If you are lucky you may be here during one of their shows!
Director - Marina is one of the granddaughters of Mrs. Cecília Jardim and daughter of Mrs Teresa Gedge. Marina has dual nationality, Portuguese and Swiss, and was educated in England. Now she has the enviable task of keeping everything at the Quinta running smoothly.
